FIND THE TRUTH YOURSELF!

 FIND THE TRUTH YOURSELF!

If a man does not repent, God will whet his sword; he has bent and readied his bow; he has prepared for him his deadly weapons, making his arrows fiery shafts.  —Psalm 7:12-13

When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him? —Psalm 8:3-4

And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek you. —Psalm 9:10

The brothers immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea, and when they arrived they went into the Jewish synagogue.  Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so. Many of them therefore believed, with not a few Greek women of high standing as well as men. —Acts 17:10-12

There is nothing more exciting to see people read and examine God’s Word to find the Truth for themselves.  The Berean Jews heard the message Paul brought, but then they looked into the Word of God daily to see if what Paul was saying was true.  As a result, “Many of them therefore believed, with not a few Greek women of high standing as well as men.”  This is what happens when people are eager to look into God’s Word for themselves.  Many will come to believe.

The stakes are high, eternally high.  “If a man does not repent, God will whet his sword; he has bent and readied his bow; he has prepared for him his deadly weapons, making his arrows fiery shafts.”  God will judge those who will not turn from their ways and follow His ways.  Actually, we are already under judgment.  Death is a judgment that came upon the human race when Adam and Eve disobeyed God thousands of years ago.  Death is the judgmental consequence of their disobedience.  You will die.  That is God’s judgment.  But He has also provided a way to have eternal life and escape from eternal judgment in hell (Matthew 25:41, 46).

It is so amazing that this One who Created the heavens, the moon and the stars, has even considered we who are so small.  Yet He has and does and “And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek you.”  For all who call on His Name to be saved (Romans 10:13) He says, “I will be with you until the end of the age” (Matthew 28:20) and “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5).

Dear Father, I thank You for the promises of You taking notice of us, saving all who call on Your Name and being with is and never forsaking us.  I am grateful that You saved me to a relationship with Yourself through Your Son Jesus and that You have given me Your Holy Spirit as a guarantee of my inheritance to come.  Now, out of great gratitude, may I be and do what You desire in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son.  Yes, may this be so!   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ozfyNDA5_Mw
