FAITHFUL FOR LIFE!

For in the eighth year of his reign, while he was yet a boy, he began to seek the God of David his father… —II Chronicles 34:3

And the king stood in his place and made a covenant before the LORD, to walk after the LORD and to keep his commandments and his testimonies and his statutes, with all his heart and all his soul, to perform the words of the covenant that were written in this book. —II Chronicles 34:31

            What a joy it is when a young person seeks the Lord God Almighty in their youth and that they make a commitment to follow Him all the days of their lives.  This is what King Josiah did.  “For in the eighth year of his reign, while he was yet a boy, he began to seek the God of David his father.”  That would make him about 16 years old.  Josiah would have a great and positive impact on the nation of Israel during his lifetime.

            One person can have a great impact on those around them as they follow our Lord God Almighty.  Josiah did during the time of his life.  Unfortunately, the next generation after him was not faithful.  We might not know what will happen in the next generation, but let us be faithful and seek to impact the next generation after us.

            Oh, this is my prayer for my children and their children after them and their children…  Oh, that generations after me would be impacted and not just those in my generation.  May it be so, Dear Father, by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus— all for Your honor and glory and the benefit of multitudes.  So may it be! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FLX83HbefrI
