LOVING DARKNESS/EVIL MORE THAN LIGHT/RIGHTEOUSNESS

By these three plagues a third of mankind was killed, by the fire and smoke and sulfur coming out of their mouths.  For the power of the horses is in their mouths and in their tails, for their tails are like serpents with heads, and by means of them they wound. The rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands nor give up worshiping demons and idols of gold and silver and bronze and stone and wood, which cannot see or hear or walk, nor did they repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts. —Revelation 8:18-21

            One-third of mankind will be killed by three plagues.  This is after a fourth of the earth had already been killed (Revelation 6:8).  And yet, sinful evil man will “not repent of the works of their hands nor give up worshiping demons and idols of gold and silver and bronze and stone and wood, which cannot see or hear or walk, nor did they repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts.”  Evil men will continue to do evil things regardless of the circumstances around them.

            You would think that impending death would cause people to think about what happens after death.  But apparently, there are those who do not care.  They continue to do evil because— “This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil” (John 3:19).  There are those who love darkness, evil and sin.  They would rather suffer eternity in hell rather than turn from their wicked, sinful deeds.  They hate God and desire not to go to heaven.

            But, dear brothers and sisters, fellow followers of Jesus, there are those who are being drawn to Jesus by our Father.  Let us seek them and encourage them to call on Jesus and be saved.  Yes, Dear Father, may we do so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  So may it be!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PcmqSfr1ENY
