GOD LOVE CHEERFUL GIVERS!
GOD LOVES CHEERFUL GIVERS!
The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. As it is written, “He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever.” He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God. —II Corinthians 9:6-11
You can be sure that what you decide in your heart will decide this point— “whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.” Giving is a motivation that comes from the heart. It includes the reasons and thoughts behind why give what we give. As we give we are not to be reluctant in doing so, nor are we to be compulsive in our giving. So, why are you giving what you are giving?
Giving surely impacts our area of influence and harvest, not only in our giving, but also in the work that we are involved in. God’s grace toward the giver causes the giver to “abound in every good work.” There surely seems to be a connection in the giving one does and the work of God one is serving in. The giver has a passion that parallels our Lord who “has distributed freely, he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever.” So the giver models after Jesus!
God will actually multiply the seed available to sow and the harvest to be had to those who are giving with the right motivation. Not only that but God will enable the giver to be even more generous and be enriched in every way. So “Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” This not only impacts the giver, but also “will produce thanksgiving to God” as people are ministered to through the giving. So, let us give and serve as the Lord Jesus desires us to. Yes, Dear Father, may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus. Yes, so may this be! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghowDhd-GUM
