GOD’S RIGHTEOUSNESS

(Matthew 25:31-46— His Sheep are known by service by serving Him in areas such as: the hungry, the thirsty, the stranger, those needing clothing, the sick, those in prison…)

GOD’S RIGHTEOUSNESS

The LORD has made known his salvation; he has revealed his righteousness in the sight of the nations. —Psalm 98:2

He will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with equity. —Psalm 98:9

Our Lord has made His salvation known and revealed His righteousness to the nations.  He did so, brother and sister, fellow follower of Jesus, to us and now He has directed us to proclaim Him to peoples, tribes and nations.  They will hear— “Then I saw another angel flying in midair, and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth—to every nation, tribe, language and people” (Revelation 14:6).  God’s plan for the gospel to out to the whole world will come to pass— “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come” (Matthew 24:14).

Our Sovereign Lord knows everything about everything and everybody.  When He judges, He judges correctly.  When He judges, it is according to His righteous standard.  As we ponder His marvelous work this Easter season of 2023, let us rejoice that whoever turns from their own way (repentance) to follow Jesus, calling on His Name (Romans 10:13), God’s righteousness is accounted to them— “Now the words ‘it was credited to him’ were written not only for Abraham, but also for us, to whom righteousness will be credited—for us who believe in Him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. He was delivered over to death for our trespasses and was raised to life for our justification” (Romans 4:23-25).  The death of Jesus, for our sins, and His rising from the dead, proving Himself to be the Son of God (Romans 1:4), was so we could have the righteousness of God and made fit to be in relationship with Him now and to be with Him forever after this age!  “God (the Father) made him (Jesus) who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him (Jesus) we might become the righteousness of God” (II Corinthians 5:21). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lzbGAJBLZUA Rejoice!  He has risen!

Dear Father, I so thank You for the righteousness through Jesus, fit for heaven and fit for Your service now.  May I be faithful in the race You have marked out for me, running it with perseverance and keeping my eyes fixed on Jesus.  Yes, may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Righteous Son Jesus. https://youtu.be/SSDJgDJToeo?t=4789
