LEADERSHIP VOID LEADS TO EVIL

In those days Israel had no king; everyone did as they saw fit. —Judges 17:6

            When no leadership exists there is chaos.  When everyone decides what is right for them to do and they do it, it is chaos.  When there is a vacuum of leadership or poor leadership, then evil will prevail.  People will be encouraged to be out of control and will do evil as well.

            Governments are put into place for the intention of being no “terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience” (Romans 13:3-5).  So the government is to encourage that which is right and to punish that which is wrong.

            But when there is a leadership void evil breaks out and takes control.  People will do what is right in their own eyes.  This is what we are seeing in our country at the present time.  Lawlessness is being encouraged without any ramifications.  We are seeking to put people in major leadership positions that will not or cannot even define what a woman is.  Surely there is a darkness that is covering our land.  Is God letting America go down a vile path it has chosen?  Is He releasing us to go our own way? (Romans 1:18-32).  When people deny Him, are not thankful to Him He—

• Allows their thinking to become futile.
• Allows their foolish hearts to be darkened
• Allows them to become fools
• Allows them to worship the creation
• Gives them over to sinful sexual desires
• Allows them to believe lies
• Gives them over to shameful lusts
• Gives women over to homosexuality
• Gives men over to homosexuality
• Gives them over to a depraved mind
• Gives them over to all kinds of wickedness, evil, greed, depravity, envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice, gossip slander, God-haters, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventers of evil, disobedience to parents, lack of understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy, continuing in those things they know deserve death, also approve of others who practice them.

No leadership allows people to do the evil they are naturally inclined to do.
