MY STRENGTH IS MY LORD!
MY STRENGTH IS MY LORD!
The LORD is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation; this is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him. —Exodus 15:2
Who is like you, O LORD, among the gods? Who is like you, majestic in holiness, awesome in glorious deeds, doing wonders? —Exodus 15:11
And Miriam sang to them: “Sing to the LORD, for he has triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider he has thrown into the sea.” —Exodus 15:21
A person comes away from the gym after a weight workout and considers what they have done. Wow, a good workout. I was able to lift that weight that many times! But then when the strength of our Lord is considered… wow… that weight lifted by the individual pales into nothingness. By His strength, actually by His very Word, all things are held together —
The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. —Colossians 1:15-18.
Now that is strength, that is power, that is our awesome God and Savior. This is the One who saves everyone who calls on Him from the penalty and power of sin (Romans 10:13). There is none like Him— none that come even close. He does awesome deeds. He triumphs gloriously with miraculous deeds.
He split the Red Sea so the whole Israelite nation could pass through on dry ground. Then when all of Pharaoh’s army went in after them the sea returned to it’s normal state and the whole army perished, drowned.
Now, what is it that you are facing that appears unattainable or unable to overcome? Put your trust in Him to accomplish what He desires. He can do what we cannot and comfort us in the midst of it all. Will you trust Him?
Dear Father may I trust You with all of my life, including those things that seem so far out of reach. They are not out of reach for You and if You desire me to reach them I trust You will give me the ability to do so. That is comforting and encouraging. Yes, may I truly trust You with this life You have given me by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus. So be it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZOwxTJzt2Kw
