MY STRENGTH
MY STRENGTH
The LORD is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him. —Psalm 28:7
We go through life generally feeling pretty good, but then sickness hits us and our weakness is magnified. Only to feel good again is our heart’s desire when we are not well. To be able to attend to the basics of life again becomes our hope. During those times we think of when we were well and appreciate those times and hope to return to them.
Sin sickness saps away the spiritual strength of our lives. We need to confess any known sin to experience the Lord’s strength. When we are in fellowship with Him our heart exults in Him and we lift songs of praise to Him. We are more in tuned in knowing He is our help and that we can trust Him fully regardless of the circumstances of our lives.
I may not feel well in my physical body, but I can receive strength from Him in my spirit. My body may be ailing but my spirit can be sailing in Him. I may feel frail and pale, but in Him I can go beyond that physical jail. He is not hindered by bodily frailty. So whatever your health situation is today just wait on Him, be faithful to Him, serve Him as you can and He is always available to talk with. W.S. Bowd said, “Prayer is weakness leaning on omnipotence.” May we be doing that! We can always do that! We should always do that!
Thank You Father that You are always there for me and that You are my strength. I know I am never alone and that You are always ready to listen to me. Help me also to be listening to what You have to say to me. May I be faithful to Your desires for me in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uwjak1EyKsU
