IT IS FINISHED!

With a loud cry, Jesus breathed his last. The curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. —Mark 15:37-38

For us He cried

Jesus Christ died

The veil torn wide

He is alive

Seen with our eyes

At Father’s side

In Him abide

Blameless His bride

Heaven to reside

“Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body” (Hebrews 10:19-20).

Jesus wept over Jerusalem on Palm Sunday… they would reject Him. He, the Creator of all, would now allow those created to mock Him, brutalize Him and crucify Him. All this was to open “a new and living way opened for us” through the veil, “that is, his body.” He then rose from the dead, proving Himself to be the Son of God (Romans 1:4). Brothers & sisters let us abide in Him while we walk through our days, wherever we are and whatever we may be doing. We stand blameless before God because of the finished work of Jesus. So let us live in that glorious freedom for His glory. One day, not too far in the future, we will all be with Him in glory. What a time that will be! Rejoice!

Dear Father, thank You for the glorious work Jesus has done for us. It is astounding to think of Who He is, what He left to come to this earth, what He endured while He was here and to die the type of death He did to take the penalty of our sins. I thank You and may I truly live a life that is pleasing to You in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus. May it be so.
