Is anything too hard for the Lord? —Genesis 18:14

But his sons-in-law thought he was joking. —Genesis 19:14

God can do anything He desires. He is the Almighty and nothing is “too hard for the Lord! Abraham would be 100 years old and Sarah 90 years old when Sarah would bear a son, Isaac, to Abraham. God did it. Truly there is nothing “too hard for the Lord!

Also, when God says He is going to do something He will do it. Lot’s sons-in-law didn’t take Him serious when Lot told them the Lord would destroy Sodom. They “thought he was joking.” But the Lord did do what He said He would do and destroyed Sodom… because there were not even 10 righteous people in it. If there had been 10 righteous people He would not have destroyed it.

Fellow follower Jesus, nothing is “too hard for the Lord” to do in and through your life as well. If He says He will do it, then He will do it. He is not joking about it. Listen, one thing, among many that He told us He would do in and through us is to send us “out to fish for people” (Matthew 4:19). As we follow Him this is one thing He said He would do. Are you fishing for people? Do you think this is “too hard for the Lord” to do in and through you? Then fish for people! Praise God if you are. Do you think “He was joking” when He said that those who follow Him He would make to be fishers of men. Are you? Why not? Praise His Name if you are being obedient to Him! May we be obedient to Him—trusting He will do what He says.

Dear Father, I know that there is nothing too hard for You. Nor are you joking when You say You are going to do something. Please help me to be obedient to Your will in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus. May it be so!
