HE INTERCEDES FOR US

For he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. —Isaiah 53:12

Who have we in heaven to intercede for us? Jesus is there interceding for us at the Father’s right hand (Romans 8:34). http://biblehub.com/nlt/romans/8.htm Think of this— “He always lives to intercede for them” (Hebrews 7:25). We could not approach God in our own merit as sinners— we missed the mark of His perfection (Romans 3:23). But Jesus hit the mark of His perfection being the eternal Son of God. Now the perfect, eternal Lamb of God always speaks on the behalf of those who have trusted Him. We are eternally safe in Jesus!

Yes, we always “have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One” (I John 2:1). We have no defense of our own, but “He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world” (I John 2:2). Jesus is always our defender. He was killed on the cross, rose from the dead and now is the Keeper of all who have called on His Name! Fellow follower of Jesus— feel safe —- you are eternally safe in Jesus. Rejoice and praise the Lord God Almighty for what He has done for us!

Dear Father, I know there was nothing good in me. You drew me to Jesus and it is only what He has done that can save me and keep me saved. For that I am eternally grateful. May I live faithfully for You in the Name of Jesus and by Your Holy Spirit’s power.
