LISTEN OR LOSE IT

Jesus said, “Pay close attention to what you hear. The closer you listen, the more understanding you will be given—and you will receive even more. To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given. But for those who are not listening, even what little understanding they have will be taken away from them.” —Mark 4:24-25

He tells us that “the closer you listen, the more understanding you will be given— and you will receive even more. Are you and I paying close attention to what Jesus is saying to us? If not, then our understanding will be limited. But, if we want more understanding we have to listen closely to what He is saying to us now. As we are faithful in our understanding now, then He will give even more understanding to us. If we are not listening to Him even what we do understand will be lost. This is why it is so important to consistently pay close attention to what Jesus is saying. Are you? Am I?

Dear Father, help me to closely listen to Jesus in the power of the Holy Spirit. May it be so!
