NONE GREATER

NONE GREATER

But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain you; how much less this house that I have built. —I Kings 8:27

For they shall hear of your great name. —I Kings 8:42

That all the peoples of the earth may know that the LORD is God; there is no other. —I Kings 8:60

For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; he is to be feared above all gods. —Psalm 96:2

The Creator is so far above His creation.  All of creation cannot contain Him and no way could there be a building that man builds that could contain Him.  This is truly impossible.  His very Name is great.  He alone is God and there is no other.  Not only is He great, but He is to be greatly praised and feared above all.

But what man cannot do, God can.  It is astounding that “Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said: “Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me; with burnt offerings and sin offerings you were not pleased.  Then I said, ‘Here I am—it is written about me in the scroll— I have come to do your will, my God’ ” (Hebrews 10:5-7).   Man could not build any type of building that God could dwell in, but God came in a body!

  • is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known” (John 1:18).
  • “For this reason they tried all the more to kill him; not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God” (John 5:18).
  • “Very truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am!”  At this, they picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus hid himself, slipping away from the temple grounds” (John 8:58-59).

Yes, “What is impossible with man is possible with God” (Luke 18:27).  “Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name above all names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:9-11).  I am so glad that what is impossible with man is possible with God.  Otherwise we would have no hope!

Dear Father I am so limited in what I can do.  Actually, without You I can do nothing.  Be pleased to work in and through me to make a difference in this world for Your glory.  May it be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus.  So be it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yzqTFNfeDnE&t=9s
