MY REFUGE

MY REFUGE

Be to me a rock of refuge, to which I may continually come; you have given the command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress. —Psalm 71:3

I am safe in You for You have saved me and none can penetrate the refuge of a rock that You are.  You are all powerful.  Who can do anything to me being sheltered by You?  “For God has said: “Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you” (Deuteronomy 31:6).  So we say with confidence: “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.  What can man do to me? (Psalm 118:6) —Hebrews 13:5-6.  Just as Joshua was told that the Lord would never leave him or forsake Him, so He will not leave us or forsake us who have called upon His Name.  Even as David understood that our Lord helps us and we need not fear because man cannot do anything to us unless the Lord allows it for His purposes (the Book of Job).  Yes, we are safe in our Lord forever!

I take comfort in knowing You are my refuge in which I may continually come.  It is You who saves me.  I am grateful to know I am secure in You, safe in You my salvation.  Now may I live faithfully for You, dear Father, in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus.  So be it!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XIpnW3rtRQ4
