PEACE OR PEACELESSNESS

PEACE OR PEACELESSNESS

But the wicked are like the tossing sea, which cannot rest, whose waves cast up mire and mud. “There is no peace,” says my God, “for the wicked.” —Isaiah 57:20-21

Look around the world today and see the “mire and mud” the wickeds’ waves are casting up. The wicked imprison God’s people for no reason. They persecute believers both verbally and physically for no reason. This is part of the spiritual warfare that is taking place and has from the time Adam and Eve disobeyed God and sinned. Even in the first family there was persecution as Cain killed his brother, Abel. Why did Cain do this? In 1 John we are told because Cain “belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and his brother’s were righteous.” It is surely the case that the wicked need to “come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will” (II Timothy 2:26). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hyUnpjd3TPU

We have the “Good News” that can set the free and give them peace. “We have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand” (Romans 5:1-2). Jesus Himself gives this promise of peace in Him— “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).

Brother and sister let us rejoice in the peace with God that we have in our Lord Jesus Christ. But let us also bring this message of peace to others so they too can have it as they call on His Name (Romans 10:13).

Thank You Dear Father that I am at peace with You through Jesus. Oh, that I would share this peace I have with those around me that do not. May this be done in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus.
