ETERNALLY AWESOME!

ETERNALLY AWESOME!

But who is able to build a temple for him, since the heavens, even the highest heavens, cannot contain him? Who then am I to build a temple for him, except as a place to burn sacrifices before him? —II Chronicles 2:6

God is awesome! He is grand and magnificent! The heavens or any of creation cannot contain Him. I am overwhelmed with the thought of how immense He is. Ponder this… eternal King Jesus left His glorious abode in Heaven to enter time on this puny planet to impact our lives. He did this so we can know Him now and be with Him in His eternal abode one day. Wow! Wow! What glorious love He has toward us!

He is awesome! This One whom the heavens cannot contain lives in us by faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. Brother and sister consider this— we are eternally in relationship with Him. One day these earthly tents will be shed and packed up and we will go to our home with Jesus forever (II Corinthians 5:4). Oooooh the best is truly ahead. With gratitude “let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith” (Hebrews 12:1-2). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XIpnW3rtRQ4 And let us tell others about Him so they also can know Him now and be with Him forever! (Romans 10:13-15).

Dear Father, may I live a life that is pleasing to You now and keep my eyes on Jesus while doing so. Yes, please help me to keep my eyes fixed on Jesus. May this be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus.

LORD YOU ARE!

LORD YOU ARE!

Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, Lord, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all. Wealth and honor come from you; you are the ruler of all things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all. —I Chronicles 29:11-12

Lord, You are great!

Lord, You are all powerful!

Lord, You are glorious!

Lord, You are majestic!

Lord, You are splendorous!

Lord, You are the King of your kingdom!

Lord, You are exalted Head over all!

Lord, You give all wealth!

Lord, You give all honor!

Lord, You are Ruler over all things!

Lord, You are strength!

Lord, You exalt!

Lord, You give strength!

Now let me ask myself this question— “Why wouldn’t I look to the Lord God Almighty as first priority! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDgmJFw6F64&list=PLcHqC9YNzSaD-O-rkP9o8hDA9jJ_oja4l&index=10 Why would you as well?

Dear Father may I look to You for all things and for all circumstances. There is no one else to go to but You. Yes, may I look to You in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus. So be it!

DEATH WILL BE NO MORE!

DEATH WILL BE NO MORE!

Jesus wept. —John 11:35

How often we weep and feel sorrow because of death. Loved ones, friends and people we do not even know die and death brings grief. Pets die and we feel their loss and sorrow. Even when autumn comes and the leaves fall to the grown we sense loss as another season is gone forever.

Death is all around us. It is estimated that about 150,000 people die every single day, about 6,000 per hour, about 105 per minute, about 2 every second or about 53 million each year or about 4.5 million each month. Each one of those numbers are people. People that God has created and loves. One day you and I will be included in that number. So it is with every generation except the generation that will be alive when Jesus comes back!

The death of Lazarus caused Jesus to weep. Death impacts our Lord God Almighty. We are told by Him that “’As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign LORD, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live” (Ezekiel 33:11). Truly, death is not a pleasurable experience. “You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book” (Psalm 56:8). God’s knows the sorrow we have experience because of death and other hardships in life. How much grief has death brought to God?

“For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; ‘he will lead them to springs of living water.’ ‘And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.'” —Revelation 7:17

“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” —Revelation 21:4

Yes, one day our mourning for the dead will end when “Death has been swallowed up in victory” (I Corinthians 15:54) and never to cause grief again. Yes, we have victory in Jesus! Even so come Lord Jesus! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Nwcr-Eys40

Dear Father I thank You for the life that is now, but also the life that is to come when death will be vanquished and sorrow will be no more. Yes, I so look forward to that time. But may I live now in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus. So be it!

GOD SECURES ME FOREVER

GOD SECURES ME FOREVER

My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.” Again his Jewish opponents picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus said to them, “I have shown you many good works from the Father. For which of these do you stone me?” “We are not stoning you for any good work,” they replied, “but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God.” —John 1027-33

“What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31). We truly are “safe and secure from all alarms” as the song says. As followers of Jesus, His sheep, we have eternal life and we will never perish because no one can snatch us out of the hand of Jesus. Nor can anyone snatch us out of His Father’s hand. They are One and we are eternally harbored by Them.

As followers of Jesus we should not have an insecurity complex. If we truly understand how utterly saved we are through our Lord Jesus Christ then we will experience the freedom in Christ that comes with this knowledge of what He has done for us. We are blessed and eternally so!

As a follower of Jesus do you feel like your world is falling apart? It is not! You are secure in Jesus! Do you feel like God does not love you? That is false! His love toward you is eternal! Are you feeling lonely like nobody cares? It is a lie! He is eternally with those who have trusted Him and He eternally loves and cares for us! Let us ponder who we are in Jesus and what He has done for us. It… is… astounding! Rejoice! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X05R0hr6iWk

Dear Father, thank You that I am safe and secure in Jesus. Oh, may I live like this and experience the freedom You give through the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son. May it be so!

WORSHIP

WORSHIP

Then the man said, “Lord, I believe,” and he worshiped him. —John 9:38

On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. —Matthew 2:11

Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.” —Matthew 14:33

Suddenly Jesus met them. “Greetings,” he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him. —Matthew 28:11

When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. —Matthew 28:17

Then they worshiped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy. —Luke 24:52

Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!” —John 20:28

The four living creatures said, “Amen,” and the elders fell down and worshiped. —Revelation 5:14

God’s Word is clear as to Who Jesus is. People can reject the Truth if they so desire, but I will not. It is overwhelming astounding as I consider Who Jesus is and what He has done. Anyone whose heart it moved to worship Him will have the gift of eternal life and a relationship that begins now and will last forever. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_lrrq_opng

To think Jesus left His eternal abode in heaven to come to this sinful, blood stained planet is amazing. Our Lord God Almighty came not only to this planet, but He came here knowing that He would did for the sins of this whole world (I John 2:2). Not only die for the sins of this whole world, but He knew it would be those He created that would kill Him. Yet He loved us so much that He came to die for our sins, rise again and all His Father draws to Him will be saved from their sin to a relationship with Him and live with Him forever in Paradise! (Luke 23:43). Rejoice! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZD6khv6pGkw&t=149s

Dear Father in Heaven, I am so grateful for Jesus. Thank You for Your great love for me. Out of gratitude may I live a life of faithfulness to You in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son.

BE FAITHFUL UNDER PERSECUTION

BE FAITHFUL UNDER PERSECUTION

“We know he is our son,” the parents answered, “and we know he was born blind. But how he can see now, or who opened his eyes, we don’t know. Ask him. He is of age; he will speak for himself.” His parents said this because they were afraid of the Jewish leaders, who already had decided that anyone who acknowledged that Jesus was the Messiah would be put out of the synagogue. That was why his parents said, “He is of age; ask him.” —John 9:20-23

Some years ago an evangelical missionary told the story of how they were helping the needy in an area of Ireland. They would bring the gospel to a very poor neighborhood where the people were in great need both spiritually and physically. On their visits to this neighborhood they would bring food and clothes to those who were desperately in need. The people were grateful.

A priest in that area heard that these missionaries were coming into this neighborhood that was in his area of oversight. When he found out the people were responding positively to these missionaries he told the people that lived there that if they kept receiving anything from them then they would be ex-communicated. They stopped receiving the missionaries…

Many religious groups will ostracize those of their number who truly trust the finished work of our Lord Jesus. This is nothing new. When Saul trusted Jesus the Jews now wanted to kill Him— their previous persecuting champion of the Way. Muslims who turn to Jesus are excluded and are in danger of death in the Muslim majority countries.

Families also become cold to those who love and live for Jesus. This is true all over the world. When a person follows Jesus their value system changes and this collides with the world’s family values. In the United States followers of Jesus may not be physically persecuted, though there are times, but they surely are ignored and excluded from families. This is also true in the workplace when people follow Jesus. Regardless of how followers of Jesus are treated, we are still to love people and seek to share Jesus with them. May we do so!

Dear Father, help me to be faithful to bring the gospel to those who desperately need to hear about Jesus and trust Jesus. May this be so today in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uaTwx0ehbvM

REJOICE IN JESUS!

REJOICE IN JESUS!

“Very truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am!” At this, they picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus hid himself, slipping away from the temple grounds. —John 8:58-59

For this reason they tried all the more to kill him; not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God. —John 5:18

I and the Father are one.” Again his Jewish opponents picked up stones to stone him… “We are not stoning you for any good work,” they replied, “but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God.” —John 10:30-31, 33

Let it be perfectly clear who Jesus said He was—- He was claiming equality with God His Father. The Jews understood this and wanted to kill Him for what they believed was blasphemy.

But… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qH-4RphCZ44

Dear Father, I am so grateful for Jesus and all He is and all He has done and is doing and will do. He is Awesome and may I be faithful to my King in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus.

SET FREE

SET FREE

I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am he, you will indeed die in your sins…. ” To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” —John 8:24, 31-32

Do you have beautiful feet— feet that bring the Good News to those in bondage? Those are what God calls “beautiful feet!

“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” —Romans 10:13-15

Those who do not believe in Jesus will die in their sins and will suffer eternal judgment in hell. But Jesus took their punishment and this as followers of Jesus we know and understand. Now we are to take this message to others so they can also be set free as we were set free.

Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will. —Romans 10:25-26

Brother and sister the Word of God came to us and we received the message and believed.

And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory. —Ephesians 1:13-14

Let us bring the Truth to people today so they may also be set free. So be it!

Dear Father, please cross my path with those today that are open to Your Word. Yes, might they call on His Name for salvation. May this be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus.

A PRAYER REQUEST

A PRAYER REQUEST

Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request. —I Chronicles 4:10

Here is a brief prayer that we are told the Lord granted. 1- Jabez asked God to bless him. 2- He asked God to enlarge his boundary or domain. 3- He asked for God’s hand to be with him. 4- He asked that he would be kept from harm. 5- He asked that he would be free from pain.

“Oh, God be pleased to bless me.’ That is a wonderful request. What could be better than for God to bless us however He desired to in answer to our prayer? Yes, Lord, be pleased to bless me today.

Do you desire to have an increase of boundaries or domain? Would you like to be of greater influence for the Lord? “Lord, please increase my area of influence for You that others would come to know You and grow in You.”

Have you asked for God’s hand to be with you as you walk though this day or any day? It is wonderful when another person gives us a hand with what we are doing in our day. How much greater is it to have our Lord God Almighty’s hand with us and helping us as we go through our day!

Let us ask God to keep us “from harm” as we walk through this day and to keep us from pain as well. He is able and we can trust Him to do so.

Dear God may You grant this prayer request in my life today in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son. So be it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KI7dJ2lIWyU

DRAWING THE LOST

DRAWING THE LOST

He went on to say, “This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless the Father has enabled them.” —John 6:65

“No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day. It is written in the Prophets: ‘They will all be taught by God.’ Everyone who has heard the Father and learned from him comes to me.” —John 6:44-45

Brother and sister you did not wake up one day and just say, “Well, I guess I’ll decide to follow Jesus today. People dead in their trespasses and sins have no ability to do this. For someone to come to Jesus our Father has to draw them. If He does not draw them then they will not come to Jesus.

Now, who around us is being drawn to Jesus and what part does our Father want you to take in that process? We don’t know who around us He is drawing, but we do know that He has called us to sow the seed of His Word in people’s lives. That is what we are responsible for—

“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”—Romans 10:13-15

Plain and simply God has chosen to work through us in drawing people to Himself. We are to carry His gospel message to the lost. Will you and I be faithful in doing so today? May it be so!

Dear Father please help me to be sensitive to the people around me today. Be pleased to draw the lost to Jesus through me. May this be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idQ1n3cdgfo
