THINK YOU KNOW WHAT IS BEST?

Then the Lord answered Job from the whirlwind: “Brace yourself like a man, because I have some questions for you, and you must answer them. “Will you discredit my justice and condemn me just to prove you are right?” —Job 40:6-8

“Will you discredit my justice and condemn me just to prove you are right?” Will you? When we do not understand why God does or allows what He does or allows, do we tell God what we think should be the right thing He should do? So we think we know more than He does? Are we wiser than Him to guide Him?

Those who do not follow God, do not want to live for the Lord Jesus, are quick to blame God and condemn Him for what they do not understand. They think they know what is right and that God has got it wrong. This is the height of arrogance.

But, as a follower of Jesus do you and I truly understand that He always has our best interest in mind? Do we understand this: “For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long? Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!” (II Corinthians 4:17). Let us not forget this. (I have found the message of this song to be very encouraging— https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_aVFVveJNs)

Are you contending with God, thinking you know better than Him? Then I would encourage you to read Job chapters 38-41…

Dear Father, I am so glad these present troubles will not last very long. I look so forward to being in glory with Jesus and all who love Him. May I be faithful in His authority until then!
